Fly Fishing |
The Northern Highlands is a paradise for both Salmon and Brown Trout. Brown trout in particular is inexpensive.
Drive 90 minutes west to Assynt and you have a choice of secluded lochs, many with boat hire available. A day-permit for bank fishing can be had for around £5.
Heading north, many of the estates offer day permits. Notable is Loch Badenloch, near Kinbrace.
There are several publications in the cottage explaining who to contact for day permits.
MacLeods in Tain has a wide range of tackle, flies and clothing, and the staff know the local fishing well.
