A historic cottage, close to beaches and mountains, with town ameneties close by.
Croft Roy is a 200 year old listed cottage situated in a quiet corner of Tain, Scotland's oldest Royal Burgh, in the Scottish Highlands.

Sleeping up to 5 people, the cottage has three bedrooms, a spacious lounge with open fire, beautifully appointed kitchen/diner and a warm utility room for drying all your outdoor gear. Outside is a large, enclosed garden ideal for children and pets, and off-road parking.

Although quietly located, Croft Roy is just a couple of minutes' walk to Tain High Street, with shops, places to eat, banks and a post-office. The station is also very close, with direct train services to Inverness and beyond.

Nearby are several Golf Courses, including the Royal Dornoch championship course, coast and hill walks, mountain bike trails, historic castles, dolphin-watching, a leisure-centre and childrens playground. Fishing and deer-stalking are also available locally.

Tain is around 30 miles north of Inverness, which has air, road and rail links to major cities, including the excellent overnight sleeper service to London. The town has many attractions, including the Glen Morangie whisky distillery and the award-winning "Tain Through Time" museum. The mountains, white sandy beaches and the wild, empty spaces of this part of Scotland are all within a short drive.
